Janice Cooper NP-C
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Janice Cooper is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland.
Janice launched her clinical career in 2007 at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center, where she worked in the neurosurgery spine department. There, she provided comprehensive care to patients facing a wide range of spinal disorders, including degenerative disc disease, spinal tumors, and spinal deformities.
In 2011, she joined Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine Group, where she expanded her expertise in general sports medicine.
Janice has treated an array of orthopedic conditions involving the shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, back, hand, and foot, and has extensive experience in both pre- and post-operative patient care. She is also highly proficient in-office procedures including bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC), platelet-rich plasma (PRP) harvesting and complex ultrasound -guided injections.
Since 2019, Janice has been part of her current practice, where she remains committed to delivering culturally sensitive, patient-centered care. She is passionate about educating and empowering people from all backgrounds to take an active role in understanding, managing their orthopedic health and optimizing their outcomes with orthobiologics and peptide therapy.
Outside the clinic, you may find her dancing in the annual San Francisco Carnaval parade, cooking with her family or planning her next international adventure.
