Performance IV Therapy

Precision-Based Cellular Recovery

Oral supplementation has a fundamental limitation: bioavailability. Even high-quality nutrients absorbed through the gut arrive at cells as a fraction of the original dose, filtered through digestive and hepatic metabolism before they reach the tissues that need them most.

IV therapy bypasses that entirely. Nutrients, antioxidants, amino acids, and cellular cofactors are delivered directly into the bloodstream — achieving plasma concentrations that oral dosing cannot replicate. At therapeutic doses, this difference is not marginal. It is the difference between supporting a process and driving it.

At MASI Clinic, IV therapy is integrated into a comprehensive orthopedic and regenerative medicine program — not offered as a standalone wellness service. Our protocols are designed around specific clinical applications: surgical recovery, mitochondrial restoration, immune defense, anti-inflammatory support, and performance optimization. Every infusion is selected based on where you are in your recovery or performance cycle.

This is clinical performance medicine — rooted in physiology, designed to accelerate recovery while enhancing long-term cellular health.

CELLULAR ENERGY & LONGEVITY

Targeting the mitochondria — the fundamental unit of cellular energy production — these infusions address root-cause fatigue, cognitive decline, and accelerated aging at the level where they actually originate.

$750  |  Package of 5: $3,200

WHAT IT IS

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme present in every living cell, essential for mitochondrial energy production, DNA repair, and the activation of sirtuins — the longevity proteins that regulate cellular aging. NAD+ levels decline 50% or more between young adulthood and midlife, a decline accelerated by stress, poor sleep, alcohol, and sustained high-performance demand.

HOW IT WORKS

IV NAD+ bypasses oral metabolism entirely, achieving cellular concentrations that drive ATP production through the electron transport chain, activate SIRT1 and SIRT3 longevity pathways, and support neuronal repair and neuroinflammation modulation. It is one of the most upstream cellular interventions available in performance and longevity medicine.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Cognitive clarity, mental performance, and brain fog resolution
  • Recovery from burnout, illness, or sustained high-stress demand
  • Athletic recovery and mitochondrial performance support
  • Longevity protocols — sirtuin and SIRT pathway activation
  • Neurological restoration and post-illness recovery
  • Substance recovery support
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Most patients report enhanced mental clarity, steadier energy, improved sleep quality, and greater capacity to manage physical and emotional stress. Temporary sensations of warmth, chest tightness, or pressure can occur and are managed by controlling infusion pace — this is normal and resolves quickly.

Common Pairing: NAD+ + Glutathione Push + B-Complex for full mitochondrial support

NAD+ infusions typically run 2–4 hours. Glutathione is not administered after NAD+ in the same session.

ANTIOXIDANT & IMMUNE DEFENSE

High-dose antioxidant infusions that address oxidative stress, immune depletion, and detoxification — critical in post-surgical recovery, high training loads, illness recovery, and environmental stress.

15g: $250 | 30g: $350

With 2,000mg Glutathione: 15g $375 / 30g $475

WHAT IT IS

Vitamin C is the body’s primary water-soluble antioxidant and a critical co-factor in collagen synthesis, immune function, and wound healing. At intravenous doses — 15g to 30g — plasma concentrations reach levels that are pharmacologically impossible with oral supplementation, enabling mechanisms unavailable at dietary doses.

HOW IT WORKS

At high IV concentrations, Vitamin C acts as a pro-oxidant in a targeted way — generating hydrogen peroxide preferentially in compromised or infected cells while protecting healthy tissue. It saturates collagen synthesis pathways, supports neutrophil and lymphocyte function, and buffers the oxidative burden generated by surgery, intense training, illness, and environmental toxin exposure.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Post-surgical tissue healing and collagen formation
  • Immune recovery after illness, travel, or immune-depleting events
  • Oxidative stress reduction from high training load
  • Adjunct support during or after infection
  • Fatigue and adrenal restoration

Common Pairing: High-Dose Vitamin C + 2,000mg Glutathione Push for maximum antioxidant and detox effect

Standalone: $150  |  Added to any infusion: $125

Not available after NAD+ in the same session.

WHAT IT IS

Glutathione is the body’s master antioxidant, a tripeptide produced in every cell that neutralizes reactive oxygen species, supports phase II liver detoxification, and protects mitochondrial membrane integrity. Production declines with age, illness, chronic stress, and toxic burden.

HOW IT WORKS

IV glutathione achieves intracellular concentrations that oral supplementation cannot match, as oral glutathione is largely broken down in the gut before absorption. At therapeutic IV doses, it directly quenches oxidative damage, supports lymphocyte function, and aids hepatic detoxification of metabolic waste products including anesthesia metabolites.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Post-surgical recovery — anesthesia detoxification and oxidative stress reduction
  • Immune support and recovery from illness or high inflammatory load
  • Liver support and detoxification
  • Mitochondrial and metabolic health
  • Skin clarity and collagen support (secondary benefit)
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Most patients report improved clarity, energy, and overall vitality. A brief sulfur taste during administration is normal and temporary.

PERFORMANCE & RECOVERY

Targeted formulations for athletes, high performers, and active patients managing training load, recovery demands, and performance optimization.

$250 | With 2,000mg Glutathione: $375

WHAT IT IS

The Myers’ Cocktail is the clinical standard in IV micronutrient therapy — a formulation of methylated B-vitamins, magnesium, calcium, and Vitamin C that addresses the foundational deficiencies underlying fatigue, poor recovery, and nervous system dysregulation. At MASI Clinic, we use methylated B-vitamin forms for superior bioavailability, particularly relevant for patients with MTHFR genetic variants.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Cellular energy production and metabolic support
  • Overtraining fatigue and athletic recovery
  • Migraine and tension headache relief
  • Nervous system regulation under sustained stress
  • Immune support during high-demand periods or travel
  • General restoration and systemic reset
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Frequently described as a systemic reset — patients report improved clarity, calmer energy, and reduced physical tension. One of our most versatile infusions, appropriate for a wide range of patients and performance phases.

$350

WHAT IT IS

Curcumin — the active compound in turmeric — is one of the most extensively studied natural anti-inflammatory agents. The challenge with oral curcumin is poor bioavailability; IV delivery bypasses this entirely, achieving systemic anti-inflammatory concentrations within minutes.

HOW IT WORKS

IV curcumin inhibits NF-kB signaling — the master switch governing systemic inflammatory cytokine production — while also modulating COX-2 activity and reducing prostaglandin synthesis. The result is rapid, broad-spectrum anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity across tissues, joints, and the vascular system.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Acute and chronic joint pain — arthritis, tendinopathy, post-injury inflammation
  • Post-workout soreness and high-volume training recovery
  • Back pain, muscle spasm, and musculoskeletal inflammation
  • Post-surgical inflammatory cascade reduction
  • Anti-viral and immune-modulating support
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Many patients describe a rapid sense of relief from inflammation and joint discomfort, often within hours. Some report an energetic, almost euphoric quality to the anti-inflammatory response — a noticeable shift from baseline inflammatory burden.

SURGICAL SUPPORT PROTOCOLS

Designed specifically for patients undergoing orthopedic or regenerative procedures at MASI Clinic and Fremont Surgery Center — optimizing tissue readiness before surgery and accelerating the healing cascade after.

$300

WHAT IT IS

A targeted hydration and antioxidant infusion designed to prime tissues for surgery — optimizing immune readiness, reducing baseline oxidative burden, and supporting the cellular environment that will drive post-surgical healing.

FORMULATION
  • Low-dose Vitamin C — antioxidant protection, collagen pathway priming, immune support
  • Zinc — wound healing activation and immune optimization
  • B-Complex (low dose) — cellular energy and stress resilience
  • Low-dose Glutathione — detoxification and pre-operative oxidative protection
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

A calming, restorative infusion. Most patients feel well-hydrated, calm, and physically prepared. Ideal in the 24–48 hours prior to surgery.

$425

WHAT IT IS

A two-bag protocol designed to address the physiological demands of post-surgical recovery — managing inflammation, supporting tissue repair, clearing anesthesia metabolites, and providing the micronutrient substrate needed for optimal healing.

FORMULATION — BAG 1
  • Magnesium — muscle relaxation, pain modulation, sleep quality support
  • Zinc — tissue repair, immune recovery
  • B-Complex (moderate dose) — cellular energy and metabolic stress recovery
FORMULATION — BAG 2
  • High-dose Vitamin C — collagen formation, immune defense, wound healing
  • High-dose Glutathione Push — anesthesia detoxification, oxidative stress clearance
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Patients typically report improved energy, reduced post-operative fatigue, and faster return to baseline function. Commonly integrated with MASI Clinic’s regenerative procedure protocols including PRP and BMAC.

The two-bag format is intentional — magnesium and Zinc are run first to establish the cellular environment, followed by high-dose Vitamin C and Glutathione for repair and detox.

SPECIALIZED THERAPIES

High-dose antioxidant infusions that address oxidative stress, immune depletion, and detoxification — critical in post-surgical recovery, high training loads, illness recovery, and environmental stress.

$750

WHAT IT IS

A medically guided iron infusion using Venofer (iron sucrose) — indicated for patients with iron deficiency when oral supplementation is ineffective, poorly tolerated, or insufficient to meet therapeutic demands. Iron deficiency is common in high-volume athletes, perimenopausal women, post-surgical patients, and individuals with GI absorption limitations.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Iron-deficiency anemia not responding to oral supplementation
  • Athletes with exercise-induced iron loss and reduced oxygen delivery
  • Perimenopausal and post-surgical iron repletion
  • Fatigue, reduced exercise tolerance, and cognitive impairment secondary to iron deficiency
  • Postpartum iron restoration
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

A 30–60 minute medically supervised infusion. Most patients notice improved energy, exercise tolerance, and cognitive function within days to weeks as hemoglobin and ferritin levels normalize.

A lab evaluation is required prior to iron infusion to confirm deficiency and appropriate dosing.

$325

WHAT IT IS

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a unique antioxidant in that it is both water- and fat-soluble — allowing it to operate in virtually every cellular compartment. It is also a direct cofactor in mitochondrial energy metabolism and is one of the few antioxidants capable of regenerating other antioxidants including Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Glutathione.

HOW IT WORKS

IV ALA achieves plasma concentrations far exceeding oral dosing, enabling its full clinical potential as a mitochondrial cofactor, insulin sensitizer, and neuroprotective agent. It reduces advanced glycation end-products (AGEs), supports nerve conduction velocity, and modulates inflammatory signaling through NF-kB inhibition.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Peripheral neuropathy and nerve health support
  • Metabolic optimization and insulin sensitivity
  • Oxidative stress reduction and cellular repair
  • Liver detoxification and hepatic support
  • Healthy aging and skin vitality support
  • Recovery from heavy metal or environmental toxin exposure
PATIENT EXPERIENCE

A relaxing 30–60 minute infusion. Many patients report increased energy, improved mental clarity, and reduced neuropathic symptoms with a series of treatments.

How We Approach IV Therapy at MASI Clinic

IV therapy at MASI Clinic is not a menu you order from. It is a clinical recommendation based on where you are — your recovery phase, your training demands, your lab values, and your goals. Our clinical team selects and sequences protocols to achieve specific outcomes, not general wellness.

Both our Santa Cruz and San Jose locations have dedicated IV rooms. Infusions are administered by trained clinical staff in a comfortable, private setting. Most infusions run 45–90 minutes, with the exception of NAD+ which requires 2–4 hours.

“Optimal healing requires optimal cellular inputs. Everything else builds on that foundation.”
